Busperson / Food Runner

About the role

The Loews Miami Beach Hotel, a reimagined oceanfront resort in South Beach, is hiring a Busperson / Food Runner. The team supports 790 renovated guestrooms and suites, direct beach access, an oceanfront pool deck, Sea Spa, six restaurants and lounges, and more than 65,000 square feet of meeting space.

Key responsibilities

• Stock and maintain supplies in all service areas
• Inspect and prepare all service ware before use
• Clear soiled plates and service ware from tables to the dishwash area and sort them appropriately
• Clean and pre-set tables with all service ware
• Greet guests and help servers deliver water and beverages
• Remove unneeded place settings from occupied tables
• Carry trays of food from the kitchen to the table
• Assist servers in presenting meals for large parties and during peak volume
• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitary condition of dining rooms and service areas
• Help with post-meal cleanup and side work, plus other duties as assigned

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to walk, stand, stoop, bend, lift and carry trays weighing 35+ pounds repeatedly during an entire shift
• Excellent guest service skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
