Business Tax Manager – Tax Services Group

About the role

Withum’s Tax Services Group is seeking a Business Tax Manager to lead tax engagements across multiple locations. The manager will partner with seasoned CPAs and industry experts to deliver accurate tax reporting, identify planning opportunities, and support client growth.

Key responsibilities

• Review partnership and corporate tax returns for accuracy and compliance.
• Research and draft memoranda on complex tax matters.
• Identify and implement tax planning strategies for diverse clients.
• Handle tax controversies and resolve issues with tax authorities.
• Lead tax research projects and manage multiple engagements simultaneously.
• Drive business development by identifying new client opportunities and supporting proposal creation.
• Leverage emerging technologies, including AI‑driven tools, to improve tax processes.
• Mentor and evaluate staff, providing constructive feedback.

Required profile

• CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Extensive experience in corporate, partnership, and state/local tax compliance.
• Proven ability to manage complex tax engagements and lead teams.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and client‑relationship abilities.
