Business Impact Manager - Performance Transformation

About the role

The Business Impact Manager (BIM) drives the operations strategy of Oliver Wyman's industry and capability practices. The Performance Transformation (PT) Americas BIM works in the Americas Business Impact Department, reporting to the PT Americas Practice Leader and the Director of Business Impact for the Americas. The role is hybrid, with 3 days per week in the office and no fully remote option.

Key responsibilities

• Practice management: lead strategic plans and operational enhancements, run special projects, draft meeting agendas, write internal communications and management presentations, and lead planning, budgeting and execution of large team events
• Financial planning and analysis: maintain MIS, support annual budgeting and capacity planning, track hard- and soft-dollar investments, and act as point of contact for client-facing teams on project investments
• Human capital: set experienced hire recruiting goals, interview senior candidates, oversee integration of new joiners, support retention analysis, and coordinate partner performance reviews
• Client and business development: support commercial effectiveness, client and RFP requests with Legal, Finance and IT, and support marketing including the editorial calendar and event logistics

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in professional services, ideally in internal or management consulting
• Strong storytelling and communication skills, with excellent PowerPoint and the ability to present to executives
• Ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders, influence at all levels, and handle confidential, time-critical work
• Comfortable with ambiguity and ad-hoc requests, and able to work independently

Required skills

• Working knowledge of generative AI and work-optimization tools
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel

What we offer

• Base salary of $110,000 to $160,000, with possible performance-based incentives
