Business Coordinator II – Texas 4-H Youth Development

About the role

The Business Coordinator II provides comprehensive administrative, financial, and operational support for the Texas 4‑H Youth Development Program. Working within the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, the role ensures smooth business processes for the Prairie View Cooperative Extension Program and related 4‑H activities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor aged invoices and declined transactions, follow up to secure timely payments.
• Create invoices in iPay and coordinate with the Accounts Receivable Coordinator on payment processing.
• Obtain signatures and process county transfers for state approval; manage county waivers at the state level.
• Develop Gold Star quotas for district offices and distribute award packets.
• Run enrollment reports for the Texas 4‑H Program Director and ensure district specialists meet reporting deadlines.
• Assist the Accounts Payable Coordinator with vendor set‑up in AggieBuy and perform account reconciliations as needed.
• Log checks for the A/R Coordinator and serve as backup for other business office positions.
• Act as primary liaison for Prairie View 4‑H clubs, handling communication, county waivers, and record‑keeping.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple financial processes simultaneously.
• Excellent organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with clubs, district specialists, and state offices.
• Experience working in a government or educational extension environment is a plus.

• Familiarity with Formsite for data collection and reporting.
• Inventory management and basic web support capabilities.
