Bilingual Copywriter - Healthcare Industry
Sierra Talent Group · Medellín et périphérie
Job description
About the role
A detail-oriented bilingual copywriter is sought to support editorial and quality-control workstreams across pharmaceutical and healthcare marketing accounts. The role sits close to the medical/legal/regulatory (MLR) review process: the work is precise, high-volume and deadline-driven, and suits people who thrive on accuracy, cross-referencing and consistency.
Key responsibilities
- Annotate promotional and medical materials (slide decks, emails, leave-behinds, value proposition decks, disease-state decks, pre-approval information exchange decks) for MLR submission, following agency and brand style guides.
- Build reference citation lists and fully highlighted reference packs so every annotated claim is traceable to its source document.
- Prepare final job packages for MLR review, checking formatting, AMA Manual of Style citations and file organization.
- Route and track review comments across medical, legal, regulatory and brand stakeholders, keeping an audit trail of changes.
- Maintain consistent approved claims, terminology and messaging across brands, flagging discrepancies early.
- Cross-check Important Safety Information (ISI) and fair balance language against approved sources.
- Work with creative, account and production teams to keep multiple concurrent jobs on schedule.
Required profile
- Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to follow detailed style guides (agency, brand, AMA Manual of Style) consistently.
- Clear, professional written English for routing comments to US-based teams; availability overlapping US Eastern Time business hours.
- Organized enough to manage several jobs and brands at once.
- Training provided for structured annotation workflows; prior exposure is a plus.
Preferred qualifications
- Prior experience in healthcare/pharma marketing, medical communications or regulated-industry copywriting/editing (MLR, USRC).
- Familiarity with AMA citation style and pharmaceutical fair-balance/ISI conventions.
- Experience annotating PDFs (Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint speaker notes) and with payer, HCP or patient-facing content.
Required tools
- Adobe Acrobat (PDF annotation and markup)
- Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Basic familiarity with shared drives and asset management systems (training provided)
