Bartender (On Call) - Clark & Bourbon

About the role

Live! by Loews in St. Louis, part of Ballpark Village, is hiring a Restaurant Bartender for its Clark & Bourbon bar. The role is on call and combines creative beverage preparation, product knowledge and efficient service to create a welcoming bar atmosphere within the restaurant. Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and guest preferences
• Recommend cocktails, wines or pairings based on guest interests
• Ensure drinks meet quality and presentation standards
• Greet guests warmly and take drink orders from guests and servers accurately and efficiently
• Monitor alcohol consumption and follow responsible service practices
• Set up and break down the bar, keeping supplies, equipment and garnishes ready
• Maintain a clean, organized bar and track inventory, reporting shortages to leadership
• Follow state and local alcohol service regulations and coordinate with servers, barbacks and culinary teams
• Restock and support barbacks during busy shifts, attend mandatory training and perform other duties as assigned

Required profile

• Previous food and beverage experience; bartending experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of cocktail techniques, beer and wine offerings and responsible alcohol service
• Excellent guest service and communication skills
• Able to stand, bend and lift up to 50 pounds throughout a shift
• Preferred: TIPS or similar alcohol-service certification, hotel or upscale restaurant experience, high school diploma or equivalent
