Automation Engineer – Robotics (AI/ML)

About the role

Join TELUS Digital as an Automation Engineer focused on robotics. You will design, build, and manage human‑in‑the‑loop (HITL) pipelines that collect and annotate egocentric data, turning complex business needs into high‑impact AI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement automation and HITL pipelines for high‑quality data collection and annotation.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize AI pipelines to eliminate bottlenecks and errors.
• Iterate rapidly on AI workflows based on evolving customer requirements.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to define use cases and translate them into orchestrated AI solutions.
• Establish best practices for AI orchestration, versioning, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Document processes, technical architectures, and standards for knowledge sharing.
• Integrate multiple Generative AI models, APIs, and tools into end‑to‑end orchestration pipelines.
• Stay current on advances in AI orchestration, large language models, and automation tools.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering.
• Previous experience building robotics training pipelines from an automation and HITL perspective.
• Strong technical expertise in AI/ML and modern orchestration frameworks.
• Excellent problem‑solving and strategic thinking abilities.
