Athletic Trainer

About the role

The Athletic Trainer supports Cornerstone Christian Academy’s athletic program by preventing, recognizing, and evaluating injuries and illnesses while fostering a Biblical worldview. Reporting to the Athletic Director, the trainer works in a Christian environment to ensure student safety and spiritual growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide immediate first aid and emergency care for acute injuries and manage chronic athletic conditions.
• Create personalized rehabilitation plans and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
• Develop and implement injury‑prevention programs and maintain accurate health records.
• Administer physical eligibility requirements and communicate with students, parents, and coaches.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree and Athletic Trainer Certified credential (NATA BOC).
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• 2+ years of experience in an athletic program preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and a committed Christian faith.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb, and supervise students outdoors in varying weather.
• Knowledge of injury assessment tools and rehabilitation techniques.
