Associate Manager, Specimen Management

About the role

IQVIA Laboratories in Valencia, CA is looking for an Associate Manager, Specimen Management. The role supervises a team and oversees daily operations so that departmental objectives are met with quality and efficiency, supporting operational improvement, resource planning and team development. It works on a Tuesday to Saturday shift, 7am to 3:30pm.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor and develop staff to ensure high performance and engagement
• Set daily operational objectives and coordinate team workflows to meet demand
• Monitor operational metrics to find improvement opportunities and cost savings
• Ensure adherence to quality control systems, SOPs and regulatory requirements
• Support capacity planning, resource allocation and equipment justification
• Lead team meetings and foster a collaborative, aligned work environment
• Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues
• Support audit readiness and oversee timely, effective audit responses

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• 3-4 years of prior experience supervising, leading or coordinating teams
• Ability to coach, mentor and develop employees
• Strong leadership presence focused on accountability and results
• Understanding of operations, methods and quality systems

What we offer

• Base pay range of $58,800 to $122,500 per year, depending on qualifications, location and schedule
