Job description

About the role

This is a field-based, remote opportunity supporting key oncology accounts in an assigned geography (Utah/Nevada). The Associate Director, Oncology Priority Accounts drives product pull-through in targeted Priority Accounts and Affiliated Healthcare Systems, develops and implements strategic business plans, collaborates with departments to run institution-centric programs and builds relationships with senior partners. Key responsibilities

  • Understand customer needs at all levels and leverage insights into account dynamics and the impact of internal and external factors on the Oncology business.
  • Develop strategic plans with the Regional Managing Director and Regional Sales Director, co-own pre-launch strategy and execution, and lead communications between Novartis and priority accounts.
  • Build strategic customer relationships with HCPs and non-HCPs, and act as the primary Oncology point of contact for account C-Suite and D-Suite engagement.
  • Manage multiple critical priority accounts, including those with less complexity or impact, and own account performance across the portfolio.
  • Facilitate internal cross-functional collaboration and lead effective communication with internal account teams, CE Leadership and other Novartis functions.

Required profile

  • Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university.
  • 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare or similar industries with large, geographically dispersed teams, including at least two different cross-functional roles; other complex environments such as medical devices, diagnostics, life sciences services, insurance or consumer health are also welcomed.
  • 2+ years in project management and translating strategy into execution, and 2+ years leading complex, cross-functional projects.
  • Track record of exceptional performance and execution.
  • Must reside within the territory or within about 100 miles of its border, able to travel 60-80% over a broad geography, and able to drive and fly within the territory with a valid driver's license.
  • Desirable: experience calling on oncology accounts and 3+ years in account management covering academic medical centers, integrated health systems, GPOs and/or large community oncology networks.

What we offer

  • Expected salary range of $168,000 to $312,000 per year, with a performance-based cash incentive and possible annual equity awards.
  • Benefits package including health, life and disability coverage, 401(k) with company contribution and match, and vacation, personal days and holidays.
  • New hires complete initial training, including home study of up to 40 hours per week.
