Associate Director, Field Execution Lead (Remote)
novartis · Remote Position (USA)
Job description
About the role
The Associate Director, Field Execution Lead works in Field Operations Performance & Enablement, bridging enterprise strategy and day-to-day field execution so that therapeutic area priorities, launches and enterprise changes are delivered clearly, consistently and at scale. The position is remote anywhere in the U.S., with about 30% travel and defined working hours and travel expectations set by the hiring manager. Relocation support is not offered and visas are not sponsored.
Key responsibilities
- Own end-to-end execution for assigned therapeutic areas, covering steady-state operations, launches and enterprise change initiatives.
- Serve as the single point of accountability for field execution once initiatives go live, ensuring priorities are delivered with clarity, sequencing and follow-through.
- Monitor execution health and field readiness, translating signals into decisions and corrective actions through standardized business reviews (without owning data, dashboards or reporting).
- Identify risks and friction proactively and escalate and resolve them within established governance and decision pathways.
- Partner with planning, enablement and infrastructure teams so processes, tools, training and sequencing are ready before deployment.
- Act as the primary execution partner to therapeutic area leadership, turning strategy into field-ready work.
- Capture lessons learned to strengthen FOPE standards and reduce variability over time.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
- 6+ years of experience in commercial execution, field operations, launch management or complex enterprise delivery in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare or similar industries with large, geographically dispersed teams; other complex environments are also welcomed.
- Demonstrated ability to lead execution in complex, multi-stakeholder, matrixed environments.
- Experience with structured governance, operating rhythms and clear decision frameworks.
- Desirable: experience supporting large, geographically dispersed field organizations and an understanding of enterprise operating models and execution governance.
What we offer
- Expected salary of $152,600 to $283,400 per year, with a performance-based cash incentive and possible annual equity awards.
- Benefits including health, life and disability coverage, a 401(k) with company contribution and match, and a time-off package.
