Associate, Brand Strategy

About the role

Lippincott, a global brand, marketing and experience consultancy within Oliver Wyman, is hiring an Associate for its Brand Strategy team in New York. The Associate owns the work between rigorous analysis and recommendations: turning research, market trends and client history into brand hypotheses, running the day-to-day of a workstream and connecting strategy with design and experience colleagues. The role also involves mentoring junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Distill insight from diverse inputs to frame the situation and identify early brand opportunities
• Manage day-to-day workplans and adapt them as client needs change
• Shape the development and flow of client presentations
• Partner with designers and experience strategists to build multi-disciplinary solutions
• Guide and develop junior team members
• Serve as a key point of contact for clients and stakeholders on the workstream
• Present to internal case teams and external clients and facilitate workshops
• Conduct in-depth interviews with client leadership and other stakeholders

Required profile

• At least 5 years of full-time experience in strategy consulting or a consulting environment, focused on brand strategy and/or business strategy
• An MBA is welcome but not necessary
• Willingness to extend thinking beyond brand into experience and marketing
• Ability to connect deep business understanding to brand implications
• Comfort with ambiguity and a structured approach to open-ended problems
• Appetite for new industries and continuous discovery, openness to travel, and desire to learn alongside teams

• Strong command of PowerPoint

What we offer

• Base pay of $115,000 - $150,000, depending on experience, skills, location, certifications and education
