Assistant Professor of Instruction – Nursing (Non‑Tenure Track)

About the role

Ohio University Southern is seeking a full‑time Assistant Professor of Instruction in Nursing for its on‑campus AAS‑N and BSN programs. The non‑tenure‑track position focuses on laboratory and clinical instruction and begins in the Fall semester of 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with course faculty to develop laboratory, simulation and clinical expectations.
• Identify student needs and deliver instruction in lab, simulation and clinical settings.
• Guide students in problem‑solving techniques and professional skill development.
• Apply varied teaching methods and assess student performance in laboratory/clinical environments.
• Maintain a presence on the Southern campus and at regional clinical sites throughout the academic year.

Required profile

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be submitted with application).
• Experience or credentialing appropriate for teaching nursing laboratory or clinical courses.
• Ability to plan, implement and evaluate instructional activities.
• Commitment to on‑site teaching and participation in campus and clinical site activities.
