Assistant Professor of Instruction – Nursing (Non‑Tenure Track)

About the role

Ohio University Southern seeks an Assistant Professor of Instruction in Nursing for a non‑tenure‑track, full‑time, 9‑month renewable appointment beginning Fall Semester 2026. The position focuses on laboratory and clinical instruction for AAS‑N and BSN programs on the Southern campus.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and evaluate instruction in laboratory, simulation, and clinical settings.
• Collaborate with course faculty to develop course, clinical, and laboratory expectations.
• Identify student needs and provide problem‑solving guidance.
• Use varied teaching methods and assess student performance.
• Maintain on‑site presence and travel to regional clinical sites throughout the academic year.

Required profile

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Graduate‑level education in nursing (Master’s or higher preferred).
• Experience teaching in laboratory, simulation, or clinical environments.
• Ability to develop and assess instructional materials.
