Assistant Nurse Manager – Night Shift

About the role

The Assistant Nurse Manager supports the Nurse Manager in overseeing the Neuroscience Medical Unit at Marymount Hospital. This night‑shift position (7:00 pm‑7:30 am) provides an opportunity to develop leadership experience while delivering high‑quality patient care in a stroke‑specialty environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of ambulatory procedural settings and ensure quality patient care.
• Oversee nursing staff and other care providers, addressing performance and attendance issues.
• Coordinate patient flow, staffing, and supplies for outpatient clinics.
• Participate in quality‑improvement projects, outcomes studies and research initiatives.
• Assist with orientation, continuing education and in‑service programs for new personnel.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with a BSN.
• Current RN licensure in the state and BLS certification.
• Minimum two years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in inpatient or stroke care.
• Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Epic electronic health record system.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
