Annuity Sales Representative (Remote)

About the role

Ethos is a life insurance technology company that sells annuities online without medical exams. As a founding member of the Annuity Sales team, you will guide customers through the annuity buying process, explain how the products work, match solutions to their retirement goals and ensure transparency. You will also help shape the sales playbook for this new product category.

Key responsibilities

• Reach out to customers who start a needs assessment on the site via inbound and outbound calls, emails and SMS
• Educate customers on Ethos' products and processes and uncover their needs through discovery
• Build relationships and drive monthly and quarterly conversion targets
• Follow up customers through the application and purchasing process and manage a pipeline
• Share customer feedback with the Product and Engineering teams to improve the annuity platform
• Help create sales scripts, outreach strategies and workflow improvements, and drive referrals

Required profile

• Active life and health insurance license (required)
• State-required annuity suitability training or certification
• 2-3 years of direct-to-consumer annuity telesales experience (fixed, fixed-index or MYGA preferred); alternatively 7+ years in annuity, life or health insurance sales
• Strong sales track record and objection handling skills
• Excellent communication and phone presence, quick learner, adaptable to change

Required skills

• Strong proficiency with Salesforce or equivalent CRM software
• Time management, prioritization and multitasking

The US base salary range is $70,000 - $400,000, depending on location and experience; the range covers new hires across US locations. Benefits details are available on the company careers page.
