Advanced Practice Provider

About the role

Connections Wellness Group seeks a compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (APP) – either a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or a Psychiatric Physician Assistant – to deliver comprehensive psychiatric care in our Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient programs.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and order/interpret relevant labs.
• Prescribe, titrate, and monitor psychotropic medications, providing patient education and documentation in the EHR.
• Co‑facilitate therapeutic group sessions (CBT, DBT‑informed, process groups) and contribute to group curriculum.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, case managers, and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, adhere to regulatory standards, and engage in quality improvement activities.

Required profile

• Current, unrestricted Texas license as a PMHNP (board‑certified) or PA with NCCPA certification.
• At least 1 year of psychiatric medication management experience.
• Experience co‑facilitating therapeutic groups preferred; PHP/IOP experience a plus.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining required certifications.

Required skills
