Adjunct Paramedicine Instructor

About the role

Savannah Technical College seeks an hourly adjunct instructor for its Paramedic program, teaching at both Savannah and Hinesville campuses. The role involves delivering theory and practical instruction to prepare students for employment in the EMS field.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, labs, and clinical instruction following the approved course syllabus.
• Supervise students during patient care and ensure safety and security in training areas.
• Maintain grade books, records, and monitor use of supplies and equipment.
• Attend required meetings and stay current with trends in the paramedic field.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of documented teaching experience (at least 40 hours per year) in a paramedic course.
• Current NREMT Paramedic certification and Georgia Paramedic license.
• Level III EMS Instructor License and two years recent paramedic or teaching experience.
• Valid driver’s license and required insurability.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support Instructor certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email.
• Familiarity with online learning platforms such as Blackboard.
