Adjunct AEMT Instructor – Savannah/Hinesville

About the role

The Savannah Technical College seeks an hourly Adjunct AEMT Instructor to deliver theory and practical training for the AEMT program across its Savannah and Hinesville campuses. The role involves flexible lecture schedules, student advisement, and supervision during clinical patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide didactic and clinical instruction following the approved course syllabus.
• Supervise students during patient care activities and ensure safety and equipment usage.
• Maintain grade books, records, and compliance with Technical College System of Georgia policies.
• Attend required meetings and stay current with trends in EMT/AEMT practice.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of documented teaching experience (at least 40 hours per year) in an AEMT course.
• Current NREMT certification and Georgia AEMT/Paramedic licensure.
• Level II EMS Instructor License and two years recent AEMT/Paramedic work experience.
• Valid driver’s license and required insurability.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support Instructor certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email.
• Experience with online learning platforms such as Blackboard.
