Accounts Receivable Specialist – Hybrid (Smyrna, GA)

About the role

Sandvik Mining is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its finance team in Smyrna, GA. This hybrid position involves processing customer invoices and payments while supporting the A/R supervisor in maintaining accurate financial records.

Key responsibilities

• Process cash and credit‑card receipts daily and apply funds to the appropriate accounts.
• Assist the A/R Supervisor in resolving customer receivable issues.
• Set up new customers in the business system with correct coding.
• Maintain up‑to‑date customer files, including name, address, and merger changes.
• Conduct collection calls and emails to obtain payments.
• Research customer queries and resolve discrepancies.
• Provide general accounting and clerical support as needed.
• Comply with safety policies and report unsafe practices.
• Back‑up cash collection processing and ensure payments are accurately reflected.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree (minimum); Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong analytical abilities.
• Proven success in customer‑service‑focused roles.
• Excellent Excel skills.
• Collaborative mindset and eagerness to help.
