Account Specialist, Collision (Remote)

About the role

Axalta's Account Specialist, Automotive Refinish maintains strong customer satisfaction and long-term retention of customers within a market. Working as part of the regional sales team, the specialist partners with coatings customers so that all elements of the business agreement are delivered. The role is fully remote but requires a local presence in Texas, preferably San Antonio, for onsite customer visits, and is not eligible for relocation or sponsorship.

Key responsibilities

• Act as primary point of contact for identified customers and build strong, collaborative relationships
• Understand the business agreement with each customer and develop and execute account plans covering product, color and service needs
• Communicate the values and benefits of Axalta products, colors and services, and engage the right resources to meet each customer's needs
• Maintain a regular customer call schedule and document interactions in Salesforce (SFDC)
• Follow up on issues promptly and advise on process improvements to remove roadblocks
• Prioritize tasks and contribute to regional results for revenue, profitability, customer retention and distributor management
• Support standard operating procedures and inform customers about training classes and local performance groups
• Lead paint conversion efforts and solicit distribution resources to support the customer
• Maintain accurate account and contact data in Salesforce and use SharePoint, MS Office and other tools to improve productivity

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and/or at least 3-5 years of Automotive Refinish industry experience
• Experienced sales professional with a strong track record of successful customer support
• Knowledge of the collision repair, commercial transportation and industrial business environment and distribution fundamentals
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time and a valid driver's license

• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Competent computer skills and effective written and oral communication
• Ability to work autonomously and solve customer problems collaboratively
