Account Executive, New York (Software Startup)

About the role

Opply, a VC-backed startup backed by Index Ventures, Anthemis and Chalfen Ventures, is looking for an Account Executive in its New York office (10016), working 3-5 days per week with travel to events in the territory. The company builds an AI-powered platform that helps scaling food and consumer goods brands automate ordering, forecast demand, match suppliers and get embedded credit. This is a closing role focused on turning qualified opportunities into revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Run discovery calls with founders and operators, diagnose pain points and build business cases and ROI logic
• Lead product demos, manage proposals, negotiate and close deals
• Forecast accurately and keep the CRM pipeline clean and reliable
• Handle objections and negotiate commercial terms
• Share market feedback, identify patterns in lost deals and represent the company at industry events
• Share market intelligence with Growth, Marketing and Product

Required profile

• 2-5 years in sales or business development (B2B strongly preferred)
• At least 1 year in a closing role (B2B strongly preferred)
• Track record of hitting or exceeding targets
• Interest or experience in food/consumer goods is a plus; experience selling software to SMB markets is also valued

What we offer

• Base salary of $70,000-$80,000 plus uncapped OTE (Year 1 OTE $40,000)
