Terminal Manager

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a Terminal Manager for its Fontana, CA service center. The role involves planning, organizing, managing, and directing all service center operations to achieve productivity and service goals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage financial aspects of the service center, including revenue, cost control, and yield improvement.
• Lead hiring, promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary actions.
• Develop and educate employees, and assist account managers with customer acquisition and retention.
• Prepare and implement action plans to meet productivity and service targets.
• Oversee safety, security, and loss‑prevention procedures in line with Company, OSHA, and DOT guidelines.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of the LTL industry, DOT rules, OSHA laws, hazardous‑materials regulations, NMFC and tariff rules.
• Strong organizational, logistical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
