Technical Project/Program Manager

About the role

Applied Materials seeks a Technical Project/Program Manager to lead complex, multi‑disciplinary projects that drive semiconductor and display technology innovation. You will oversee end‑to‑end delivery, ensuring alignment with product specifications, cost targets, and schedule commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Define project and program objectives, milestones, and resource plans to enable effective execution.
• Manage project scope, cost, resource utilization, and timelines while ensuring compliance with engineering, safety, ISO, and confidentiality policies.
• Document all phases of development and disseminate information across functional areas.
• Assign work to team members, fostering professional development and maximizing productivity.
• Lead a team of leads to develop, support, maintain, and implement large‑scale or multiple medium‑size projects.
• Drive research and development of new technologies and integrate them into Applied Materials products and services.
• Utilize computing resources to optimize design activities and timelines.
• Resolve complex technical and operational problems across the department.

Required profile

• Demonstrates in‑depth understanding of concepts, theories, and principles within the engineering and project management domain.
• Applies industry knowledge to contribute to business objectives and quality, volume, and timeliness goals.
• Leads a generally homogeneous team, adapting plans to meet service and operational challenges.
