Technical Assessor Associate

About the role

The Technical Assessor Associate conducts on‑site inspections of building systems, structural components and safety compliance for commercial, residential and industrial properties. The role involves extensive travel to client sites and the use of web‑based tools to collect and report data.

Key responsibilities

• Perform QA/QC inspections of electrical, mechanical, fire & life safety and structural systems.
• Collect and document equipment data, photographs and condition assessments using tablets or iPads.
• Review construction plans, maintenance records and regulatory documents for compliance.
• Identify deficiencies, hazards or non‑conformities and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports that include photographs, observations and reference to standards such as ASTM, NFPA, NEC, ICC and ASME.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; some college preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of related inspection or building assessment experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently, travel frequently and meet physical demands of field work.

Required skills

• Familiarity with ASTM, NFPA, NEC, ICC and ASME standards.
• Proficiency in using web‑based data collection tools, tablets and iPads.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and report‑writing abilities.
