Senior Estimator – Electrical Construction

About the role

The client is an established electrical contractor delivering commercial projects across the Houston market. They are looking for a Senior Estimator to lead estimating activities, mentor a team of estimators, and support pre‑construction planning for commercial construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and support a team of estimators throughout the estimating and bidding process.
• Prepare and review detailed cost estimates, conduct quantity takeoffs, and coordinate subcontractor and vendor quotations.
• Develop competitive pricing strategies, validate estimates for accuracy, and manage bid schedules to ensure timely proposal submission.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities, construction alternatives, and potential project risks.

Required profile

• Significant experience estimating commercial construction projects.
• Previous experience leading, supervising, or mentoring estimators.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with construction estimating software.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
