About the role

Atlas Technica is seeking a Team Lead to manage a growing support team in New York. The role combines technical oversight with people management, supporting hedge fund and investment‑firm clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise Junior Systems Engineers and Interns, acting as the primary escalation point.
  • Approve PTO, manage time‑entry, conduct performance reviews and provide coaching.
  • Own technical projects, guide solutions, and consult with clients.
  • Manage relationships for a subset of assigned clients and assist with client escalations.
  • Participate in on‑call rotation, client meetings, and organizational improvement initiatives.

Required profile

  • Minimum 2 years of people‑management experience and 5 years of IT experience (desktop support, systems engineering, administration).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in an MSP environment.

Required skills

  • Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365 stack (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Intune, Azure AD, Teams).
  • Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy.
  • Citrix XenApp, Sophos endpoint protection.
  • Virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V).
  • Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, LAN/DMZ/WAN, DHCP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls.
  • Familiarity with ConnectWise, Azure, AWS, Google Workspace, Box, Dropbox, Duo, Okta, AirWatch.
  • Exposure to cybersecurity tools such as Carbon Black, Cylance, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne.
  • Knowledge of storage/virtualization platforms (Nimble, Pure Storage, NetApp, EMC, XenServer).
