Teacher – Milledgeville YDC (Georgia)

About the role

Under the direction of the school leader at the Milledgeville Youth Development Center, the teacher will plan, organize and deliver instruction to a diverse group of students, fostering a safe and supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver lesson plans, schemes of work and assessments aligned with established procedures.
• Utilize technology and instructional materials to support active learning and differentiate instruction.
• Manage classroom behavior, enforce rules and maintain discipline in accordance with school policies.
• Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, prepare required reports, and participate in meetings with staff, parents and district officials.

Required profile

• Ability to work effectively with students from diverse cultural, economic and ability backgrounds.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with students, colleagues and parents.
• Capacity to establish cooperative working relationships within the school community.

• Proficiency in using educational technology and learning management tools.
