Adjunct Barbering Instructor

About the role

The State of Georgia, through Central Georgia Technical College, seeks an Adjunct Barbering Instructor to join the Milledgeville campus for the Fall 2026 term. This part‑time position involves delivering barbering instruction in classroom and lab settings, developing curricula, and supporting student success.

Key responsibilities

• Teach barbering theory and hands‑on techniques to students in scheduled day classes and labs.
• Prepare and follow syllabi, lesson plans, and assessment tools.
• Maintain accurate grade books, student records, and inventory of equipment.
• Provide mentorship to other adjunct faculty as a lead instructor when needed.
• Participate in professional development, program meetings, and accreditation activities.
• Travel within the college’s service area for occasional events or training.

Required profile

• Under general supervision, capable of delivering all phases of the barbering curriculum.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Commitment to student progress and program standards.
• Eligibility to meet Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) policy and accreditation requirements.
