Senior Vice President, Software Engineering

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Co‑Founder to lead the engineering vision, architecture execution, talent strategy, and platform delivery for Decision Stream, Mastercard’s next‑generation AI‑native decisioning platform.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and execute the engineering vision and technical investment priorities for Decision Stream.
• Lead the development of a cloud‑native, AI‑native decisioning platform that operates at Mastercard scale.
• Drive architectural decisions across streaming, orchestration, rules execution, AI inference, observability, and resiliency.
• Build and scale world‑class engineering teams across platform, AI, and distributed systems.
• Partner with product leadership to align engineering investments with customer outcomes and business objectives.
• Lead the platform through MVP validation, commercialization readiness, and scaled adoption, establishing metrics and governance.

Required profile

• Proven engineering leadership experience with a bias for action and comfort with ambiguity.
• Demonstrated success building and scaling large‑scale distributed platforms and cloud‑native architectures.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience delivering high‑availability, resilient, and high‑performance platforms.
