Operations Technology Specialist (Remote)

About the role

The Operations Technology Specialist provides first‑line operations and client technology support to virtual agents and office staff, ensuring smooth travel‑related processes. This remote position focuses on monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving technology cases within the travel industry.

Key responsibilities

• Follow established processes and collaborate with teams to monitor and resolve technology support cases.
• Partner with internal and external technology teams to perform root‑cause analyses, escalate, test, and resolve issues.
• Work directly with virtual employees to troubleshoot problems for quick resolution.
• Escalate common issues to other departments for broader, global resolution.
• Communicate effectively with virtual staff using the most appropriate methods to discuss procedures and solutions.
• Manage system status, taking steps to improve performance and reliability according to policies.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in the travel industry.
• Experience with Sabre GDS and online booking tools (OBTs).
• Background supporting system enhancements, testing, implementations, and operational initiatives.
• Strong understanding of travel management operations, including front‑, mid‑, and back‑office workflows, ticketing, fulfillment, and service delivery.
