Senior Software Engineer – AI, Cloud & ML Platforms

About the role

Senior Software Engineers at Mastercard design and code artificial-intelligence, cloud, and machine-learning platforms that provide mission-critical insights to leading organizations and governments. In this role you will work within a small, agile team to deliver high-performing, scalable software solutions for top global brands.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy and maintain software components, automation frameworks and validation tools.
• Apply strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms and efficient coding practices to create scalable solutions.
• Participate in software architecture definition, ensuring scalability, reliability and maintainability.
• Develop test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and XLR.
• Integrate secure coding practices and perform vulnerability scanning within the development lifecycle.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers and drive engineering best practices.
• Ensure systems are observable, monitorable and resilient, performing performance engineering and troubleshooting production issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing microservices with Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong skills with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL and Oracle SQL.
• Advanced understanding of cloud-native architecture, PCF and AWS.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, AWS, XL Release, GitHub Actions) and code quality tools (Sonar, Checkmarx, JFrog).
• Ability to perform domain-driven design and map software solutions to business contexts.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
