Senior Project Manager – Building Design & Construction

About the role

The Senior Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and oversight of complex building design and construction projects for the city, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage planning, scheduling, and coordination of all aspects of assigned building design and construction projects.
• Supervise a team of project managers, ensuring adherence to project plans, budgets, and timelines.
• Analyze project conditions, provide guidance and solutions to complex construction challenges.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices for successful project delivery.
• Review and approve plans, drawings, and specifications from architectural and engineering consultants.
• Identify and mitigate risks, review change order requests promptly.
• Utilize project management software to plan, track, and report progress.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in design, construction, or management of complex building projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in project management principles and construction management.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder collaboration.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ACAD (AutoCAD).
• Proficiency with Revit.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project.
