Senior Migration Consultant – R&D (Remote)

About the role

Veeva Systems is seeking a Senior Migration Consultant to lead R&D data and document migrations for life‑science customers. You will act as the technical champion for Vault R&D migration projects, guiding customers through ETL processes and ensuring successful adoption of cloud solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute migration strategies for document content and object data from legacy systems to Veeva Vault R&D.
• Advise customers on extract, transform, load (ETL) processes and best practices.
• Mentor Veeva Data Migration Specialists and contribute to the professional services knowledge base.
• Collaborate with Services, Product, Sales, and Strategy teams to align migration tools with platform standards.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in enterprise content migration (Documentum, OpenText, Box, SharePoint, etc.).
• 7+ years of consulting experience with enterprise software integrations (SAP, Salesforce.com, PeopleSoft, Oracle, Trackwise, Argus, ArisGlobal).
• Proven record of senior‑level client engagement and technical leadership.
• Ability to travel up to 10% and legal authorization to work in the United States or Canada.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL and database expertise.
• Proficiency in Python and Java.
• Strong experience with REST APIs and Vault API.
• Hands‑on knowledge of ETL processes and migration tool development.
• Familiarity with enterprise content management systems (Documentum, OpenText, Box, SharePoint).
• Experience with enterprise software platforms (SAP, Salesforce.com, Oracle, etc.).
