Senior Manager, Partnerships

About the role

Rainforest is an early‑stage payments‑as‑a‑service startup seeking a Senior Manager, Partnerships to join its Revenue team. The role focuses on building and deepening relationships with private equity and growth equity firms that invest in vertical software, turning those connections into qualified pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Own and grow relationships with priority private equity and growth equity firms to drive qualified portfolio company introductions.
• Develop account strategies across investment, operating, and value‑creation teams.
• Analyze partner portfolios to identify payments opportunities and craft tailored business cases.
• Prospect new partners through warm introductions, meetings, and industry events.
• Activate existing partnerships with insights, benchmarking, case studies, and strategic content.
• Represent Rainforest at conferences, webinars, and curated events.
• Maintain disciplined partner account plans and pipeline tracking in HubSpot.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, and leadership.

Required profile

• 5+ years in partnerships, business development, private equity/growth equity, investment banking, consulting, fintech/payments, or similar relationship‑driven roles.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior investors, operating partners, or executives.
• Strong commercial and analytical instincts to evaluate software businesses and identify payment value.
• Track record of originating revenue‑generating opportunities through relationships.
• Exceptional communication and executive presence.
• Highly proactive, organized, and comfortable managing a portfolio of strategic relationships in a fast‑moving startup.
