Senior Director, Medical Affairs – Oncology

About the role

The Senior Director, Medical Affairs – Oncology leads a team of field‑based medical professionals, driving oncology disease‑state support plans across the region. This role combines strategic leadership, project execution, and budget oversight to ensure high‑quality scientific education and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard, train and manage a team of Oncology RMSDs, conducting performance assessments and coaching.
• Develop and communicate oncology disease‑state support plans, coordinating resources and ensuring policy compliance.
• Support the Executive Director Medical Affairs with project management for oncology initiatives.
• Manage regional team budget, reviewing and approving expense reports.

Required profile

• MD, PharmD, or PhD with proven ability to lead scientific/medical colleagues.
• Strong knowledge of FDA, OIG, HIPAA and related pharmaceutical regulations.
• Previous oncology experience and at least three years in a field‑based medical role.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills.

• Salary range $210,400 – $331,100 per year.
