About the role

Join Ochsner Health as a Registered Nurse on the Med‑Surg unit at the Chabert Campus, working the night shift. You will provide compassionate, high‑quality patient care as part of an inclusive, diverse team.

Key responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process to deliver safe, effective patient care.
  • Assess patient learning needs and implement appropriate teaching strategies.
  • Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards.

Required profile

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Current RN license in the state of practice.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • No prior work experience required.

Required skills

  • Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
  • Good judgment and ability to work independently.
