RN – Emergency Medicine – Full‑Time 11a‑11p

About the role

This full‑time RN position in the OALH Emergency Department provides direct patient care during the 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. shift. The role emphasizes leadership, cultural sensitivity, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver high‑quality patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
• Assess learning needs of patients and families and implement appropriate teaching strategies.
• Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members while managing resources.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work independently, demonstrate good judgment, and communicate effectively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification (within 30 days of hire).
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (within 90 days of hire).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (within 90 days of hire).
