About the role

Join Ochsner’s Med Surg team as a full‑time night RN, delivering exceptional patient care within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards. You will work collaboratively with a diverse, inclusive team to achieve optimal outcomes for patients.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members while maintaining accountability for quality outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members, respecting cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity.
• Participate in unit and department strategic initiatives and uphold professional responsibility.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse diploma; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Required skills

• Proficient computer skills for data entry and information retrieval.
• Ability to use Windows‑style applications and role‑specific software packages.
