Environmental Services Aide – Part‑Time

About the role

Join Ochsner Health as an Environmental Services Aide in Jennings, providing essential cleaning and sanitation for patient, public, clinical and administrative areas. This part‑time position supports a safe, aseptic environment for patients and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain assigned areas in a clean and aseptic manner, including guest, patient, public, clinical and administrative spaces.
• Keep the environmental closet and equipment organized and sterile.
• Assist with restocking café and bar supplies when needed.
• Support special cleaning projects and room turnover.
• Follow Joint Commission and CMS regulations for Environment of Care and cleaning requirements.

Required profile

• Ability to read, write and understand verbal communication in English.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to follow directions with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules as needed.

Required skills

• Experience operating environmental services equipment such as dust mop, wet mop, bucket and wringer, spray bottles and dustpan.
• Basic knowledge of housekeeping, cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Ability to work safely with acidic and alkaline chemicals.
