About the role

The Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department at St Charles Parish Hospital on a day‑shift schedule. This full‑time position is part of Ochsner’s mission to deliver exceptional, compassionate care while supporting professional growth.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members to ensure quality outcomes.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Current RN license in the state of practice.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Ability to obtain CPI, ACLS, and PALS certifications within the specified time frames.

Required skills

Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Effective organizational and time‑management skills.
