About the role

This full‑time RN position provides leadership in patient care within the Cardiopulmonary Diagnostics and Cardiac Rehabilitation unit at St. Charles Parish Hospital. The role involves using the nursing process, delegating to team members, and ensuring quality outcomes while respecting cultural diversity.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver safe, effective patient care.
• Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary staff, managing both human and fiscal resources.
• Use data and evidence‑based practice to promote change and achieve optimal outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, accreditation standards, and hospital policies.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Good organizational, time‑management, and judgment skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations and interdisciplinary teams.
