Registered Nurse – ICU – West Bank – Nights – Full Time

About the role

The Registered Nurse will provide patient care on the West Bank ICU during night shifts. This full‑time position is part of Ochsner’s commitment to exceptional, compassionate care and requires adherence to the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code, and unit strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process to deliver high‑quality patient care.
• Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary staff while managing nursing team resources.
• Use data and knowledge to evaluate outcomes and promote change.
• Maintain cultural, ethnic, and religious sensitivity in all interactions.

Required profile

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Registered Nurse Diploma (associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred).
• No prior experience required.

Required skills

• Computer proficiency for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
• Ability to work with Windows‑style applications and role‑specific software.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
