About the role
We are a consulting firm in New York City seeking a professional Receptionist to join our team on a temporary‑to‑permanent basis. The role is full‑time, onsite, and offers a dynamic environment where you will be the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and employees.
Key responsibilities
- Manage front‑desk operations, including greeting visitors, routing calls, and handling mail.
- Coordinate conference‑room and workspace reservations, set up physical equipment as needed.
- Maintain building and suite access controls, ensuring security protocols are followed.
- Respond to user requests via email and ticketing systems, providing timely resolutions.
- Organize NYC meetings and events, collaborating with stakeholders and administrative leaders.
- Support administrative tasks such as correspondence, expense processing, and general office duties.
- Contribute to office newsletters and promotional materials for events.
- Assist with onboarding new hires to ensure a smooth transition.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or GED (required).
- Minimum 1 year of front‑desk or office administration experience; 3 years preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer‑centric approach.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Attention to detail and problem‑solving orientation.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience using ticketing systems for internal requests.
What we offer
- Competitive hourly rate of $24‑$25.
- Full‑time schedule: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm, Monday‑Friday.
- On‑site work in a modern NYC office.
- Opportunity to transition to a permanent position.
