About the role

We are a consulting firm in New York City seeking a professional Receptionist to join our team on a temporary‑to‑permanent basis. The role is full‑time, onsite, and offers a dynamic environment where you will be the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and employees.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage front‑desk operations, including greeting visitors, routing calls, and handling mail.
  • Coordinate conference‑room and workspace reservations, set up physical equipment as needed.
  • Maintain building and suite access controls, ensuring security protocols are followed.
  • Respond to user requests via email and ticketing systems, providing timely resolutions.
  • Organize NYC meetings and events, collaborating with stakeholders and administrative leaders.
  • Support administrative tasks such as correspondence, expense processing, and general office duties.
  • Contribute to office newsletters and promotional materials for events.
  • Assist with onboarding new hires to ensure a smooth transition.

Required profile

  • High School Diploma or GED (required).
  • Minimum 1 year of front‑desk or office administration experience; 3 years preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer‑centric approach.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and problem‑solving orientation.

Required skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience using ticketing systems for internal requests.

What we offer

  • Competitive hourly rate of $24‑$25.
  • Full‑time schedule: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm, Monday‑Friday.
  • On‑site work in a modern NYC office.
  • Opportunity to transition to a permanent position.
