Product Quality and Reliability Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Product Quality and Reliability Engineer to evaluate materials, properties, and techniques used in production, and to advise design engineering on component selection and testing. The role focuses on ensuring product reliability for semiconductor and display equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate reliability of materials, properties and production techniques.
• Advise design engineering on selection, application and testing of electronic components and systems.
• Recommend design or test methods and statistical process control procedures to achieve required reliability levels.
• Develop acceleration techniques and analytical tools for early identification of potential problems.
• Implement and manage the division’s Quality Assurance program and policies.
• Prepare and present quality management reports and improve documentation processes.
• Perform FMECA, document CRAMS, and work with suppliers on test plans, including PQP.
• Conduct reliability modeling and ERAMS activities.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in reliability engineering and quality assurance.
• Ability to lead functional teams or projects with moderate complexity.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts.
