Product Lead, Monetization

About the role

Ello is building an AI teacher to democratize education worldwide. As the Product Lead for Monetization, you will shape the revenue strategy that enables the mission‑driven model of offering a free, high‑quality learning experience while generating sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Define pricing, packaging, and subscription tiers, deciding what features remain free and what is paid.
• Design, implement, and iterate on the paywall and checkout experience, including placement, timing, copy, and visual design.
• Own the post‑purchase lifecycle: trial conversion, renewals, dunning, cancellations, and win‑back campaigns.
• Build a monetization model that aligns with revenue forecasts and supports the mission of funding free access for underserved families.
• Create and maintain monetization reporting dashboards (LTV, ARPU, retention curves) in partnership with the data team.
• Collaborate with lifecycle marketing, growth, and engineering teams to run experiments and optimize revenue performance.

Required profile

• Proven product ownership experience, especially in pricing, paywalls, or subscription models.
• Data‑driven mindset with ability to define and track key monetization metrics.
• Comfort working cross‑functionally with growth, engineering, and data teams.
• Commitment to a public‑benefit mission and to balancing revenue with free access for all users.
