Postdoctoral Research Associate in Molecular Biology

The Skinner Lab at Northeastern University seeks an enthusiastic postdoctoral researcher to start in February 2026. The position involves conducting basic and applied research, assisting in data interpretation, and contributing to publications and grant writing.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate, execute, and complete research experiments using molecular biology and metabolomics techniques.
• Prepare and write research papers, presentations, and grant proposals.
• Assist in laboratory management and train students.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, structural biology, or a closely related field.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, high motivation, and excellent communication and organization abilities.

Required skills

• Western blot, qPCR/RNA‑seq, CRISPR gene editing, DNA manipulation.
• Metabolomics sample preparation and measurement by LC/MS or GC/MS.
• Protein chemistry and biophysical analysis; familiarity with chromatography and data analysis.
