Postdoctoral Research Associate

About the role

The Communication for Health Equity Lab at Northeastern University seeks a Postdoctoral Research Associate to advance transdisciplinary research on health communication and equity. This two‑year position supports the design, implementation, and evaluation of culturally responsive interventions for underserved populations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate health communication strategies targeting health disparities.
• Conduct mixed‑methods research, including community engagement, qualitative and quantitative data collection, and big‑data analytics.
• Lead grant writing, manuscript preparation, and manage lab operations.
• Supervise graduate and undergraduate students.

Required profile

• PhD (or expected by start date) in communication, public health, health promotion, or related social/behavioral sciences.
• Interest in computational health communication, AI, social/digital media, and health outcomes.

Required skills

• Mixed‑methods research expertise.
• Experience with qualitative, quantitative, and big‑data analysis.
