Pharmacy Technician – Specialty Pharmacy

About the role

Join Clearway Health’s specialty pharmacy team in Santa Barbara as a Pharmacy Technician. You will support medication preparation, inventory control, and exceptional patient service while working closely with the Manager and Pharmacist.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute pharmaceuticals, including simple compounding, packaging, repackaging, bar‑coding and labeling.
• Maintain strict compliance with federal, state and local regulations, accreditation standards and client policies.
• Assist with inventory control, receiving, stocking, and replenishment of medication supplies.
• Provide high‑level customer service by answering calls and greeting patients.
• Operate automated dispensing machines (e.g., Parat Amax, TCG), robotics, and bar‑coding systems such as Verify.

Required profile

• High School diploma or G.E.D.; higher education preferred.
• Active, unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state.
• 1+ years of direct pharmacy‑related experience.
• Preferred: National certification (PTCB or ExCPT).

Required skills

• Operation of automated dispensing machines and robotics.
• Use of bar‑coding systems (e.g., Verify).
• Basic computer proficiency for data entry and pharmacy software.
